3 wedding flower ideas you wish you’d thought of sooner!

Are you ready to turn up the heat on your wedding flower planning?

We know planning a wedding can leave you feeling dizzy, with endless little details to consider.

And while you might have already picked out the most seductive colours and styles, are you ready to press play on the finer details for the big day itself?

Planning ahead, whilst not sexy, is the key to getting the most out of your wedding flowers.

We’re hooking you up with three wedding flower ideas that’ll have you saying “why didn’t I think of that earlier?”.

1.Organise a wrapping station

We know your guests love taking home flowers from your special day as much as you do. But many couples forget to prepare for this in advance. Have no fear!

You can easily create a flower wrapping station by bringing newspaper or craft paper, scissors and twine to your reception venue. Add a sign inviting guests to wrap up flowers at the end of the night and your wrapping station is complete.

This way, guests can easily wrap up and take home their favourite blooms. A little side note – be sure to ask them to leave all hire vases and water tubes behind for us to collect the following day!

2.Organise vases for your bouquets

By the time your ceremony and photographs have finished and you’re dying for a vino at the reception, your wedding bouquet is going to be thirsty too!

Having enough vases for all of your wedding party bouquets means they’ll be able to rehydrate and last longer. This is especially important if you’re thinking about wedding flower preservation..

We recommend having a friend or family member organise enough vases filled with water in advance—trust us, it will save you time on the day.

Extra points if you can get someone to cut about 2-3cm off the bottom of the stems before putting them into water.

As a guide, a good size vase is around 15cm high with an opening of 10-12cm. You can give away these vases as gifts to your wedding guests, or use them for other events later on down the road. Win-win!

3. Timing your delivery

Are you planning on having photographs taken while you get ready for the big day?

Photos featuring bouquets and accessories such as shoes or jewellery help make the memory of these smaller details linger on for a lifetime.

If you’d like your flowers to be included in the photographs, be sure to let your florist know. This way they can be delivered before the photographer arrives and your preparation photos will be even more heart melting.

WRAPPING UP

There are lots of small details that go into planning a wedding. Whether it’s organising a flower wrapping station or making sure your bouquet delivery is timed to perfection, we’ll help you make the most of your wedding flowers.

And if you need any extra help leading up to or during the wedding festivities, just holla!
